I think they better use the phrase "inspired by." These pastries are fresh and well-made. As for authentic, no. The beignet and almond croissant are close but not quite. The crobrios as original creations are delicious and balanced out by a cup of black coffee. The aesthetic is again inspired by a French cafe-small, artistic and looks like it's family-owned. I don't know if it is or not, but that's the vibe.
This French pastry shop is a great spot to enjoy some delicious desserts and Parisian pastries. It's a cozy place to catch up with a friend over coffee. We tried their coffee and eclairs and they were really tasty, with a yummy filling and topping. I definitely recommend giving it a try if you're a dessert lover!
Great, delicate macaroons nestled amongst a busy area. Super aesthetic decor, and right next to the Welcome To Austin mural. Grab a treat and a photo in one space.
Being a tourist, I stumbled across here while snapping a pic of the Austin mural. Very cute shop, with plenty of charm. I came in and got a coffee which was nice and strong, and some macaroons for later. I forgot about the macaroons and didn’t eat them until the next day but they were still delicious. Hadn’t dried out at all and were full of flavor. I highly recommend stopping in to get to your fix while you are in the area.
Mmmm! So good! When you are in Austin, and after you have taken that obligatory photo of the ‘Greetings from Austin’ mural at Roadhouse Relics, do yourself a favour and stop here and treat yourself.
The iced coffee and the crobrio were simply awesome!
Sitting on the large patio, basking in the early morning sun was equally enjoyable!
Super cute bakery. I was craving ice cream that day but still went inside to check it out. Very clean and perfect spot for pictures and social media posts. They had a variety of desserts available and the employee was attentive!
I'd come back to try some of their food next time we visit.
During our trip to Austin while checking out the “Greetings from Austin” mural we saw this cool macarons shop, La Pattiserie, macarons were really tasty, I just wish they had more variety and yes.
La Patisserie is a cute little bakery that represents the charm and appeal of Austin that draws people to the city. It is also located next to the Austin mural for those who are visiting and want to take a nice photo.
Inside they have a wide selection of baked goods, both sweet and savory. I ordered an orange macaron sandwiched with a layer of cream filling and coated with candied orange peels. I can’t remember the exact name, so if anyone happens to know please help me out because I would order 5 more of these easily.
The macaron texture was perfectly chewy which paired well with the light but sturdy cream. The candied orange peels were probably some of the best I’ve ever had and tied the entire dessert together very well. The mouthfeel when taking a bite was extremely satisfying, and after eating it I didn’t feel too heavy like I would with other desserts which I really appreciated.
Overall I really enjoyed my visit to La Patisserie and would happily recommend everyone to stop by and grab a treat (or 5).
